I always used to make a plan for my tests… If I knew I had a test next week I would work out what work I need to do in the next few days and then work through it little by little.

That way when the test comes you know you have prepared really well and when you get your score you know you tried your hardest.

I have done tests that went really well and some that went badly, as long as you try your best that’s all that matters.
Plan to do something fun for after the test too, you deserve it 🙂

Common advice I know but try not to stress about upcoming tests and exams. Sometimes they go really well and some you may feel you completely screwed up in. One of the best ways to start is to write on a calendar when your test dates are, if your teacher or school has organised any revision sessions and what units the test is covering.

Try and work through the material in small chunks to avoid having a last minute binge session and try to get your hands on as many past papers to practice on. Sometimes the answers can be as simple as recognising the answer sheet response from a past paper question written in a slightly different way.

Mark and Lyd have both given excellent advice,
      1. Prepare,
      2. work hard,
      3. divide the work in to small manageable chunks
      4. Practice similar tests if you can, sometimes the format of the answer is important so remember to include all your working out!

I would also say, tests are not everything! There are many ways to get where you want to be, so don’t worry about the result, just do your best and do as Mark says and reward yourself and do something fun afterwards!
