      I enjoy seeing my solutions to problems being used in factories and products I’ve worked on being sold in the supermarket.

      Sometimes you can spend hours planning an experiment, get to the factory at 0200 am and get everything ready only to be told by the factory manager that you can’t do your test because they haven’t made enough food today! This is really frustrating and my least favourite par of my job.

      I think the best part is knowing the work i do has an impact on peoples everyday lives. I am a little further removed because it is research at a university, but eventually new medicines etc. are created out of the work I have done.
