My grades were good enough to get me into A-levels which in turn were good enough to get me into Uni.

GCSE’s are a good way to get yourself noticed in a crowd but aren’t the most important thing in the world, as long as you try your hardest and they allow you to get to your next goal then that is good enough!

GCSE’s are a stepping stone into your future. If you get them wrong there are alternative routes to success, but you have to work harder in the beginning. I have a very good job now, but I only passed French and Drama… not proud. I can only say getting good grades is important because it speeds up the process of further education, and lost time is lost money. We should all strive to be the best we can be, while being happy in life.

The other answers to this are perfect I think.

I don’t remember what I got anymore, but I did ok. Well enough to do the sciences and maths at A level and so on.

I can only echo what the others have said, there are many paths to the same destination but some are longer. When you know what you want to do, you don’t mind taking the long road!
Mostly because you are more likely to enjoy the journey.
