• Question: how does engineering relate to physics?

      There a lots of different ways depending on what engineering you do.

      One example for me is pumps! We have to pump lots of liquids up to high tanks so we can make things like ketchup. We need them to be strong enough to overcome gravity and get liquids up high!

      Last summer our pump wasn’t powerful enough and I had to carry 1 tonne of sugar syrup up some staris 30 kilograms at a time… it took hours! Understand physics means that these mistakes won’t happen as oftern 🙂

      Physics kind of describes everything, in my kind of engineering it is useful for looking at the movement of fluids and heat especially!
