• Question: if you could do any other engineering job what would it be and why?

      Mmn, hard to choose. I’d like to try out being in the maintenance department getting to repair and break apart machines to get inside the motors. I think electrical maintenance would be a fun challenge once I could understand how all the different wire functions work.

      I would like to work in our packaging team, Heinz also make their own cans and they have to make lots! We fill 1 million cans a day so the demand for cans is huge!

      It starts out a sheets of metal and is turned into cylinders that allow us to keep our food safe. Material science always interested me so if I wasn’t making food I would be interested in the metal we put it in.

      I dont think i would change it! I might change the proportion of things i do, so more teaching and less maintenance of equipment that kind of thing but i love my job!
