• Question: is engineering your first choice of career, have you done anything else

      When I was 18 I got a job as a lab technician for a year. I had to make scientific measurements and analyse samples. It made me realise I wanted to do a technical job.

      Then I just needed to figure out what job to get! I did an engineering scheme when I was 16 and that made me realise engineering was fun and could be something to do as an adult!

      I have had a lot of part time jobs (including sales person, cleaner, kitchen porter, receptionist, librarian, art gallery worker, zoo park assistant, barman, security and window dressing!) but this is the only career I have tried and I don’t think I would leave it.
