      Maths is crucial to everything!
The level of maths you need in engineering is higher than in everyday life though, but it is just used to help you understand what is going on.

I chose Biochemical engineering because I thought it would be a good mix of all the sciences and maths, I also thought that it would have a better future than chemical engineering because of the decrease in oil and gas and its focus on biological processes and renewable.

Engineering is a fun fast paced discipline where you will never get bored because you can work on loads of different projects. It also gives you the kind of skills that all employers want if you chose to leave engineering (though you are unlikely to want to once you start!).
