• Question: why do beans need engineering?

      We make 1 million cans a day! The only way to do that so quickly is to have really efficient processes. I am a process engineer, so it is my job to decide what pumps we use to move the tomato sauce and what cooking conditions we need to cook the beans.

      We also make our own cans out of sheets of metal, that requires a lot of engineering know how because we also need to make a million empty cans a day!
